Instructions

Use the form on this page to join as a new member or to renew your membership. Required fields are indicated in bold red. When you have selected a type of membership and have entered all of your information into the form, click "Join the L Streets NA" and you'll go to a confirmation page with instructions on what to do next. If you have any problems with this online application process contact communications@lstreets.org.

Eligibility for Membership

The L Streets Neighborhood Association, Inc. (L Streets NA) is bounded to the North by Walnut Hill Lane, South by Northwest Highway, East by Plano Road, and West by Ferndale Road. Individuals over 18 years of age and residing in a single family house within the boundaries described are eligible for membership.

Types of Membership

Voting Member

Annual membership dues are voluntary, cost $20 each calendar year, and upon payment of dues the household membership status is made a Voting Member. Voting Member status includes up to two individuals per household address, entitles your household to a single vote when a matter is put before the L Streets NA for a vote, and includes an L Streets NA yard sign. Membership will automatically terminate at the end of each calendar year.

Non-Voting Member

While we need operating funds, we don't want membership dues to prevent participation in the L Streets NA, therefore a non-voting membership is optional. Two individuals per household address that are eligible for membership may join at no cost, but will not be allowed to vote when a matter is put before the L Streets NA for a vote nor may the household receive an L Streets NA yard sign. If this is the membership type you choose, select "Non-Voting Member" when you fill out the form on this page. Membership will automatically terminate at the end of each calendar year.

Privacy Information

Information collected on this form is used for communication purposes between you and the L Streets NA. Volunteers in Patrol (VIP) may use this information to contact you during their patrol (for example if you left your garage door open at night). Also, Block Captains, Board Members, and other Committee Members may use this information in the administration of their duties as members of the association. This includes tracking membership, payment of dues, maintaining your contact information, and any other duty normally associated with their office. Information collected by the L Streets NA is never used for marketing purposes. If you are a new member we will automatically add you to our email list. You may update your profile at any time by following the link contained in every email we send. In addition to sending email we also deliver paper flyers to your street address. If you are willing to help us operate more efficiently you may choose to discontinue flyer delivery. If enough residents get on board with this we will implement selective delivery.

All households joining or renewing as Voting Members (paid) may request an L Streets NA yard sign to show their support of our association. If you want a yard sign, or need to replace your old one, let us know.

Terms of Agreement:
By clicking "Join the L Streets NA" you are indicating that you agree with the following statements. I/We voluntarily join the L Streets Neighborhood Association, Inc. I/We agree to comply with the bylaws of the corporation and to pay dues as specified by the board of directors. I/We agree to hold harmless the elected or appointed officers, directors or other members of this corporation from any claims resulting from decisions made or activities carried on in connection with the conduct of official business of the corporation. I/We agree that the dues paid entitle me/us to voting membership(s) in the corporation for one calendar year (January 1 – December 31). I/We understand that membership will automatically terminate at the end of each calendar year.
