You don't have to be a member of the L Streets Neighborhood Association to get our emails. Use the subscription form to sign up.
Subscribers may modify contact info and change which kind of information they get by clicking the "Update Your Profile" link at the bottom of each email we send. Subscribers may cancel a subscription by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of each email we send.
You may choose which kind of information you receive from us. We send three types of email and two are regular — Monthly News and Event Announcements (First Monday of Each Month at Minimum), and Weekly Crime Watch News and Tips (Every Friday). Crime Watch Alerts are the third type of email. Crime Watch Alerts are sent as needed, for example when a serious incident of crime occurs or when our help has been requested by authorities.
Please…Please…Please sign up for the Crime Watch Alerts. OK. You get it. We are begging. Know this — Crime Watch Alerts will never be used to communicate anything other than info about incidents of crime. Knowledge about crime that happens in our neighborhood can prevent crime from happening to you or your neighbors. We want every resident of the L Streets to be signed up for Crime Watch Alerts.
We use an email system that is hosted at MailChimp.
The L Streets News webpage is updated when we need to let you know details for neighborhood events, something of interest to the neighborhood, important news and announcements, or Crime Watch news. The site also features an archive for Crime Watch Tips and Safety Tips. You may sign up to follow the L Streets News via FeedBurner to get email when the page is updated — although most of the info is also shared using social media.
Many L Streets residents participate in social media activity to do things like share info, discuss neighborhood related issues, or reunite lost pets with owners. The L Streets Neighborhood Association uses social media as a part of its communication strategy. Visit the L Streets Policies webpage to obtain the L Streets NA Social Media Policy.
